Dear SAP Support,
We're using the Migration Cockpit's Direct Transfer approach in one of our Migration Projects, and in it we've noticed some long runtimes, depending on the circumstances. Sometimes, even the cancellation of a long running activity takes a little too long to finish. Since we're facing this, we'd like to ask:
Best regards,
Data Migration team
Dear experts,
Yes, there are multiple ways to improve the performance of the Migrate Your Data - Migration Cockpit app!
First, we'd suggest following the Resolution notes of the KBA bellow:
Even though the KBA above aims to correct stuck activities, making sure that your system is properly configured (all Migration Cockpit users have the necessary Roles, the /LTB/JOB_DISPATCHER is working, a stepuser is maintained, and so on...) is the first step to avoid performances issues, since a misconfigured system will lead to undispatched Migration Cockpit jobs, which might seem like activities that are taking too long to finish (but won't finish at all).
After making sure that your system is correctly set up, we suggest applying the Resolution notes of the following KBA:
This KBA lists many relevant technical and non-technical measures that could be followed to guarantee the maximum performance of the app!
I hope this helps with your query and good luck with your future Migration Projects!
Best regards,
SAP Support
