Hello everyone!
I am currently at a client who uses barcode gun for inventory items. Is there any guide wich explains how to implement the barcode guns, compatible guns, etc?. I need to solve this for start testing the system.
Thx in advance,
Juan

Juan,
If you search for BarCode in this Forum you will get many answers as I have myself answered quite a few questions.
Any Bar code scanner like symbol that can be connected using a USB to a PC can be used. As you would understand Bar Code scanner are just replacing key strokes.
Can I ask what all you plan to do using Bar Codes. Is is simply for scanning Items or Batch numbers, ...??

Hi Suda,
I want to use the Bar Codes for scanning items on sales transactions and for stock transfers. This company has several wharehouses and needs to optimize the inventory movement between wharehouses.
They manage some items with Batch Numbers an others with Serial Numbers. Can I use the Bar codes for both?

Juan
When you say using Bar Codes for sales transactions and stock transfers? Are you talking about scanning the Item when creating the Delivery document or simply scan the Item in the warehouse and this will reduce inventory.
BarCode scanning functionality is Business One is only for scanning and ItemCodes / Batch numbers without manually typing them in the Delivery or Inventory tramsfer screens?
What are the process steps you want to accomplish
Suda,
Effectively, when I said "for sales transactions", I was talking about scanning the Item when creating the Delivery document, and when I said "for stock transfers" I meant for scanning the item to fill the stock transfer screen.
Can I use the Barcode funcionality for scanning serial numbers? Do i have to generate the barcode from SAP BO?
Regards,
Juan
