How to deactivate the depreciation key already used.

Hi Experties,

Here the client wants to deactivate the depreciation key so that no one can use the same later. They have created the new depreciation key in place of old one. I looked at T_code AFAMA, there is an candle icon for activation but nothing for deactivation. Can any body tell me how to block / deactivate the old depreciation key. I do not want to delete them just to avoid any kind of inconsistencies as they have already been used many times in the past in depreciation calculation.

Go to As02--and go to tab org and give dep key as 00 ......and your existing key is deactivated

In AS02, I didn't find any tab by name Org. Can you please clarify further.

Got to make you understood on thing that for the same asset new depreciation key will be used instead of the old one. Now the client wants to deactivate the old one.

Try AO25. Select company code & delete entries there.

Hi Siva,

So far I think AO25 configuration is used where depreciation is to be calculated on the basis of no of units produced. This way I think AO25 is nothing to do with this issue. If you please further give any trail solution, most welcome.

I am not sure whether it works or not. select the depreciation key you want to deactivate and click on activation icon again and see
