How the Purchasing grp is determined in following cases

Hi,

Pur. grp determination in following cases.

Coded

Contract excists + inforecord excists + Material Master excists

Contract excists + inforecord not excists + Material Master excists

Contract not excists + inforecord excists + Material Master excists

Contract not excists + inforecord not excists + Material Master excists

Uncoded

Contract not excists + inforecord not excists + Material Master not excists

Purchase Grp:

1. If contract exist---> then system will pick the Pur. grp ( PO w r t Contract)

2. If not have contract then system find Info record--> it will pick from here.

3. If both are not mainatain then it will ask you to enter the Pur. grp.

Un coded:

1. It also ask manual entry in document creation. (purchase Grp)

Hi,

Generally Purchasing Group is determined during creation of purchasing Agreements/Documents from master data in case of material procurement from material master or else you need to enter manually for purchasing Agreements/Documents in case of example :procurement of services.

Purchasing Group should not be changed in purchasing Agreements/Documents as it flow from material master .In the case of service procurement ,purchasing group is to be enter manually and may be here purachsing group is a department and each department assign to cost center.Purchasing Group may play a vital role during release of Purchasing Agreements/Documents,if configured...
