Hi,

It is valuated by giving it a value.

Hi,

Seriously, if you are only going to spend 10 seconds typing in 10 words then how can you expect us to spend 10 minutes (at least) helping you?

You must tell us what you mean when you say how are materials valuated??

Do you mean that you want to know about Moving average prices and standard prices and how they are maintained and updated?

Do you mean how do you valuate your materials on a FIFO, LIFO, lowest value basis?

Or do you mean how do you post a value to a material?

Please do try to help us to help you?

and how do you post a value to a material?

Hi Raju,

Material valuation takes place in two levels one is MAP other is STANDARD PRICE.

In moving avg price Qty/total value & in std price it is against the material master price any deviation will go to price difference account that is PRD.

it is accounted when material movement takes place with respective movement type like 101, 201, 261 etc. . . the G/L account for posting is linked via valuation class & trasnaction keys.

Hi,

You maintain (i.e. change) the MAP and STD prices by using MR21. Within this transaction you can also post a value against the item to affect the MAP.
