How can I Migrate a Segmented Chart of Account with DTW?

Hello.

If anyone could help me to solve this problem I would be most gratefull...

The templates installed in SAP Business One under the DTW folder do not include a segmented chart of account template, so I would like to know how can I transform (if that is possible) the standard model, or maybe find a way out, cause' the chart of account is pretty big and I have it all in a well defined CSV.

Thank you.

It is easy my friend...what SBO version do you use ? in 2005A:

for example, your GL account 999.999.999.999/MK/WHS/PIG and it is under asset (level 1) then :

father account (asset) : 100000000000000 (level 1)

format code : 999.999.000 (level 2)

father account : 999.999.001

format code : 999.999.001.001 (level 3)

father account : 999.999.001.001

format code (i.e. your GL account) : 999.999.999.999MKWHSPIG (level 4)

Don't forget to set the segment separator in general settings.

Sir, How about there is a message telling that my chart of account has Illegal Parent number?

Hi Luciano,

It's been a while since I've needed to do this but from what I remember, you populate the FormatCode field in the template with the full account number but without segment delimiters so you'd need to combine your segments in to a single code.

If you have access to the CPSN you could try asking on there.

Kind Regards,
