Hi all,

We have created personal numbers from 1 to 6 as it was internal number allocation. we want delete these personla numbers and make it as a external

and we have to start with 10000 to 11000 and another interval is 20000 to 21000.

please let us know how to do

Use Tcode PA04

Create your number range with you’re your desired number generation option.

Then Use Tcode PE03 and use Feature NUMKR. In decision tree insert your number range sequence number under your country. Activate your feature.

Now hire person with new personnel number sequence.

you can aswell use Tcode PA04, but a word of caution just because u said u r not familiar with HR...

i am copying the important text below for u which u may miss giving attention to otherwise...Number ranges are client independent...the changes will affect all clients so be double sure of what changes u are doing...involve a HR functional consultant aswell.

The number range intervals are not linked to the automatic recording of customizing changes. You must transport all the changes that are made during the maintenance of number range intervals manually.

To do this, choose Interval -> Transport on the initial number range interval maintenance screen.Please read the information that you receive when transporting number range intervals. which is as below:

In the target system, all intervals

of selected number range object are

deleted first so that only the exported

intervals exist after the import.

The number statuses are imported with

the value that they had when exported

.

Dependent tables are not transported or

converted.

Do you want to transport the intervals?

yes, no , cancel...

GO TO SPRO IN THAT GO MAINTAIN NUMBER RANGES, THEN U WILL BE ABLE TO INTERVALS . CLICK ON CHANGE INTERVALS . AND THAN CLICK ON CREATE.

THERE U CAN CHANGE UR NUMBER RANGES . PLEASE REMEMBER TO GIVE A CLICK MARK TO KEEP IT AS A EXTERNAL.

IF U WANT TO DELETE THE NUMBER RANGE I HOPE U HAVE TO DELETE THE ENTER DATA. FOR U HAVE T-CODE---PU00.
