Help regarding App F6488 (Post Asset Acquisition – And Quantity Adjustment)

Hello,

It would be great if you can please help me out with the new app Post Asset Acquisition – And Quantity Adjustment introduced in 2408 release. The app does not allow to make a posting for multiple assets.

Hence, what is the way forward for customers who used to post asset acquisitions to multiple assets in the old app Post Acquisition (Non-Integrated) - With Automatic Offsetting Entry?

Also , if the old app is still available, how long will it be available ?

Hi,

The functionality to post to multiple assets, either acquisition, retirement or transfer was never part of the official scope of S4H Cloud. It accidently came via exposing the "old" WebGUI transactions as Fiori tile. You will also not find any reference to this functionality in the test scripts for scope item J62.

The app "Post Asset Acquisition – And Quantity Adjustment" is optimized for the 80%+ use case. If you needed this app to post acquisitions to multiple assets it is obvious that your process to acquire assets needs revision. But if you need to post to many assets for whatever reason you can rely on the underlying API of this app. Nonetheless the recommend way to procure many assets is either via PO, direct invoicing or settlement of investment projects.

There is no golden rule how to consume oData services - usually customer seek for professional help from consulting experts, e.g. SAP S4H Cloud Consulting. Also a process analysis to optimize your business process towards best business processes may require additional help. Same applies for the usage of bots which is an alternative solution as well.
