Dear SAP experts,
I have already found some information on this topic in the help library and in the community, but I still have some open questions. So it would be great if you could give me a little input.
Our customer wants to implement 3 different countries. They all should use the same operating CoA. Additionally, they shall have a local chart of accounts. On top of this, all those entities shall also be assigned to a group chart of acounts.
1. From what I have read so far, this should be possible. Is this assumption correct?
YCOA will be used as operating CoA anyway and will be activated automatically.
2. As local CoA we can use the standard delivered local CoAs (e.g. YIKR for Germany). The corresponding G/L accounts will be assigned on company code level with a 1:1 relationship to YCOA G/L accounts. Correct?
3. As group CoA the YGR1 can be used. The corresponding G/L accounts will be assigned on a global level to the YCOA G/L accounts with a 1:1 relationship. Correct?
4. How can we and when do we have to "request" the YGR1? I haven't found a clear answer to this so far.
Last but not least:
5. We can renumber and rename all three mentioned CoAs, correct?
I would be really glad if someone could help us here!!
Many thanks in advance!!
Best regards
Christoph
Hi Christoph,
Here are the answers:
1. it is possible as long as SAP delivers a local CoA for that particular country.
Please check this in the accelerator
columns Q:AJ will detail the values for alternative CoA's (where they exist)
2. yes a country where a local CoA is available will come with the local CoA activated and 1:1 links for the accounts that are used in that country. This can vary from country to country so please check in the accelerator above if an account has an alternative number/is used in that country or not.
3 The group CoA YGR1 is not activated by default . You need to request in the initial questionnaire to activate the optional scope item 3AF Group Account Preparation for Financial Consolidation
https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/browse/scopeitems/3AF
to enable the Group CoA and group account number in the G/L master data.
SAP only provides Group Chart of Account YGR1 and links it to YCOA. There is not a standard group account delivered by default. Customer should have their own accounts ID and manually maintain them in the system according to the test script.
4. you can do this either at the Q provisioning step or via scope extension later, if you plan to implement group reporting in a future wave. This needs to be planned accordingly with the project implementation team.
5. yes you can but there are certain limitations described in the documentation for Adapt Chart of Accounts task
The group CoA YGR1 will not deliver the group accounts so there should be no reason to renumber the values , unless you create the wrong ID's in the first place.

Lucian

Hi, Christoph
I think Lucian answered all the questions and only one thing to comment:
Point 5: In 1911 the standard group account number will be delivered to customers and it can be re-numbering with apps.

Kenny
