GR/IR Clearing

Hi

The G/L Account for GR/IR Clearing has not been Ticked for Open Item Management, as required as at the time of Config it was missed out now I am not able to select it as already posting have happened in it

Can you please inform me what wld be the effects if the Open Item Management is not ticked for GR/IR Account......

sorry program name is typed wrongly. The right one is "RFSEPA 01"

Assign points, if it is use full.

I have tried the procedures given by you but i.e of Creating a new Dummy Account & then passing a G/L Entry & making then Balance as zero & then Ticking the OIM but as I am tring to save the changes I am getting the following error"

"Account balance = 0 but open items exist in the account

Please inform me how should i move further.....

Hi,

I too could not make the GL account to open item management.

I am also getting the same error

Account balance = 0 but open items exist in the account

Dear Ash,

first you make belnces zero (create one dummy gl) post the balences to make GR/IR ac zreo. Now you select open item management check box. Then you block the GR/IR account from posting. Thenrun the program "RFSAPA01" in T.code: se38 and repost transfer the blence.

THIS SHOULD BE WORKED OUT FOR YOUR ISSUE.

Please try SE38 for running programme.

For line item display use RFSEPA01. Before doing this, you have to block the account for posting. You should consider documents which were already posted.

Hi Ash,

If you are not using the new G/L, then you can use the report RFSEPA02 to retroactivly switch open item management on.

u have to clear all the items posted to this account, then only u can change, otherwise u have to take technical help.

Hi Ash,

while creating GR/IR accounting in T.code FS00 we should tick the open Item Management.

If we not tick the same then GR/IR account can not show the Open item details.

Since the GR/IR is cleared automatically, so now you can change the same FS02

IF the balance of GR/IR Clearing account is not Zero its not possible to tick open item management & save the changes in G/L Account.

Thus, what could be the work-around for the above issue

HI,

you have to clear all the line items otherwise if possible to create any dummy gl account then post all the amount to dummy gl account. tick the OIM and again do the reprocess same.

That is depends upon Client.
