GR and goods in transit

Hi Friends,

My client asks for a flow for raw wood with an external storage location in SLOC1. They want to do goods receipt to this external stock and when it is transported from SLOC1 to SLOC2 it must be shown as goods in transit.

how to do this setup. please help me.

In standard sap, "goods in transit" happens for inter-plant or inter-company stock transfers, not for two storage locations within same plant.

You have to do a two-step stock transfer to get materials into transit stock. You can view transit stock by report MB5T.

Maybe you should consider creating this external location as part of a different plant.

u can use 303 and 305 moements

303 will issue goods from storage from ur plat

then 305 will receive the goods in other location

also u can use Sto. loc to Sto. loc STO in ECC

u2022 Function of stock transport orders between storage locations is available from ECC 6.0 onwards.

u2022 As a result of which user can input issuing storage location with supplying plant.

u2022 Facility of using different delivery types for different issuing storage locations is available.

u2022 Shipping Point data can also be determined based on the issuing storage location.

Hi Ravi,

You can use S.loc to S.loc STO. Create STO. And Do PGI aganist the STO(VL10B). then you can view the Stock in Trasit form MMBE.

1. Conforgure S.Loc to S.loc STO in Purchasing --> STO

assign delivery type and shipping.

its standard SAP process you just have to add the external storage location in a different plant and you have to use the movement types for two steps 303 and 305 removal and placement of the material.
