Goods Recipient field Po

Hi

Goods recipient field in the account assignment in the PO is kept mandatory field. when i enter any value for e.g., 123, system throws an error 'User 123 is not defined'.

Please help how to correct this.

Hi Amit,

This may not be a standard message.

This can be done at your end(using ABAP).  Please check.

I will get it checked by the ABAP team. I also think some logic has been incorporated.

Hi Amit,

you can change field status for "GOODS RECIPIENT" as mandatory to optional from here :

IMG\Material management\Account Assignment\maintain account assignment categories

as you can see in screen you can change according to your requirement .

Normally, you can enter a value in the Recipient.. This is for information only...

As your message says "User 123 is not define", it may be meaning you have to give an user id..

You can check the message number..

I hope there are some development is there for this field...

Hi,

   In standard SAP, the goods recipient field is for information purpose only and it doesnt have any validation. If its throwing error in your case, there will be some development done inorder to put validation with the user ID. Please check the error message number and check with ABAP team.

   Alternatively, you can make the field as optional for the account assignment cat in OME9 transaction.
