Getting null pointer error while accessing Family Members / Dependents app.

Hi All,

I am facing peculiar issue in ESS MSS. While accessing ESS application Benefits > Family Members / Dependents

I am getting below error for only one user. For other users its working fine.

java.lang.NullPointerException

at com.sap.xss.per.helpers.OverviewHelper.hasDeleteButton(OverviewHelper.java:452)

at com.sap.xss.per.helpers.OverviewHelper.CreateOverview(OverviewHelper.java:307)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.generation.DelegatingView.doModifyView(DelegatingView.java:78)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.view.View.modifyView(View.java:191)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientComponent.doModifyView(ClientComponent.java:398)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientComponent.doModifyView(ClientComponent.java:405)

at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.cal.ClientApplication.modifyView(ClientApplication.java:692)

I am working in EP 6.0 SP 21 version.

Please can anyone help me out in this.

Hi,

If you have maintin proper data in the infotype 105 subtype 001

chcek the Start date and end date of the DATA

As well as .......check where there is proper DATA in the Family Infotype ( infotype 0021 )

also check the Start DAte and End date

And if you have done with all then ........

This is a known problem. Apply the patch for PCUI_GP as per the sap note:1075190.

I have checked the Start date and End date , its ok.

Its working fine for other users.

OK ....it problem with the DATA maintanance ...................

Check the DATA in the Infotype 0021 ( family Members ) .for same User.............

ALso check the DATA Start Date and End Date...........

I thik someone might have delete the DATA in the infotype and subtype.............

Try to enter data through PA30 and check if you are able to enter data for the same PERNR via R/3. If unknown errors in R/3 is not captured you may notice error in Portal

Check a Valid PERNR is mapped to User ID in IT-105 - Subtype 0001
