Hi forum:
I created measuring point 45 (internal), when I display measuring points list I realize the earlier number created is 39, meaning there is a gap of 6.
What can I do to avoid this gap in measuring points?
Regards.
Hi,
Even Measuring Points are created at the Equipment Level, there would be gap as in between numbers would be assigned for diffrerent equipments.

This happens in Measuring Points, because any attempt to create a MP and cancel it without saving, consumes one number. At the same time there is no significant disadvantage due to missing numbers in MPs. You may sort or search them by the Equipment numbers.

Its probably due to buffering of the number ranges. You may have to adjust the buffer to 0 for the measurement point number range object IMPT using transaction SNRO. However its generally advised against adjusting the buffer to speed up the process.
