Funds Management - Status mangement

Is it compulsory to assign a status to a version. Can I use BCS with out status mangement ? I have configured FM with out statuses. I have created different Budget types though. I donu2019t want to use any status mangement but system is asking for assigning a status to version.

Hi Chris,

As said before, you have to assign the status. But keep in mind, that this assignment is purely technical and the term 'status management' in FM is a bit confusing as it does not mean the same as for logistical processes in SAP. Just consider it as technical assignment, you won't 'feel' it while working with BCS.

Please note that Status Management is mandatory. Status is assigned to FM area, fiscal year and version. Status reflects the combination of busget type and the process.
