Function Module 'CHVW_EXPLODE_ALL '

1,049

Hi Expert,

I have one doubt regarding the Function Module CHVW_EXPLODE_ALL .

When I passed the value in this FM regarding Material, Plant, and Batch details I got some details regarding batch where used list.

Can anyone please explain me what is the significance of this TYPE and LEVEL column?

Execute transaction BMBC 'Batch Information Cockpit' to display batches, sub-batches, etc. and compare with results of the FM call with same selection.

yes it is same as MB56 but I was asking about the two column TYPE and LEVEL. I didn't get any such information from there.

The Function Module CHVW_EXPLODE_ALL is used to get the batch where-used list for a material. The TYPE column indicates the type of the batch where-used list. The possible values are:

  • ‘M’ for material
  • ‘B’ for batch

The LEVEL column indicates the level of the batch where-used list. The possible values are:

  • ‘0’ for the initial level
  • ‘1’ for the first level
  • ‘2’ for the second level
  • and so on.

I analyzed BMBC and observed the following:

  1. Type C - Displays Inspection Lot and Process Order details of the row material-batch
  2. Type A - Displays Process Order detail for the row material-batch (i.e. Header Material of corresponding Process Order)
  3. Type B - Displays Purchase Order, Delivery details for the row material-batch (i.e. Component Material of corresponding Process Order)
