Free search in PA30 : One field to be removed

In PA30 there is a Object Manager window which contains the options Collective Search/ Search Team/ Free Search

My Query is :

In the Free search option there is a Personnel Data node when we expand it there are many fields below it. I need to remove a field Date Of Birth from there

how do i do that?

Hi Jilly,

we can hide the field by using table V_T588m. U need to go to sm30, enter the above mentioned table, maintain the module pool mp000200, press enter, select 2000 screen& 29 variable, magnify the row by selecting. Then you will see all the fields. select your birth day field of 'GBDAT' and flag the hide option. Now go to pa30, check 0002 IT, Date of Birth field will be disappeared.

I think i have clearly mentioned that i want help on free search that is seen on the 1st screen of PA30 and not inside the Infotype. I'm sorry this solution has not given the required result.

Hi Jilly,

The free search (object manager) in pa30 queries using an infoset. Which cld be /SAPQUERY/HR_ADM.

Its a standard SAP query,Please check if you can do any modifications to hide.
