Hi Uma, in 6.0 versions new GL you can handle your case using parallel accounting approach. To provide different valuation view for end closing, you can perform posting using the valuation program (such as foreign-currency valuation), and to enable this feature, the leading ledger should exist in all company codes (across all clients).

The following is the configuration needed:

Foreign Currency Valuation

1. Define Valuation Areas

Define your valuation areas for your closing operations. With the valuation areas, you can report different valuation approaches and post to different accounts and ledgers.

Financial Accounting (New)  General Ledger Accounting (New)  Periodic Processing  Valuate  Define Valuation Areas

2. Assign Valuation Areas and Accounting Principles

Assign the desired accounting principles to your valuation areas.

Financial Accounting (New)  General Ledger Accounting (New)  Periodic Processing  Valuate  Assign Valuation Areas and Accounting Principles

3. Creating Financial Statement Version for leading Ledger

Financial Accounting (NEW)  General Ledger Accounting (New)  Master Data  GL Accounts  Define Financial Statement Versions

Hope it helps, and don’t forget to assign points
