Flexible Workflow Requirement: Notification to creator of purchase order in My Inbox App

Hello SAP,

We are using flexible workflow for the purchase order release process.

It is known, that if an approver approves or rejects a purchase order (with decision notes), the status and decision notes get updated in the purchase order.

We have a requirement that if the flexible workflow is being used for the purchase order approval process and if an approver approves or rejects the purchase order (with decision notes), then the creator of the purchase order needs to get a notification (along with the decision notes) in his/her 'My Inbox' App.

Could you please help us know if there is a way using which the requirement mentioned above can be achieved.

Dear Customer,

My name is Lisa from the MM-FIO team. I have checked your query and can confirm that there is no notification available for configuration that would be then shown in the My Inbox Application for the creator of the PO. However, there is an email notification that can be configured. Please review the following help documentation on that option:

Hello Lisa,

Based on the steps in the URL of the documentation shared, email ID of the creator has been maintained using SU01 transaction. The required parameters have also been maintained in 'Manage Email Template' App for the approval as well as rejected purchase order scenarios.

However, when the complete scenario of a purchase order release has been executed in the flexible workflow process, we are yet to see/observe an email notification to the creator.

Could you please let us know if there is anything that needs to be put in place/configured or has been missed by us.
