Fixed Production order size

Hi Gurus

My client wants to have production order quantity always 1.

If sales order line item quantity 10 then 10 production orders, if Planned Inde req is 10 then 10 production orders

How to achieve it.

Hi,

Select Lot size FX. and set Fix lot size as 1 only.So that during MRP system will generates Plan Orders for 1 Nos. Only.

Now for safer side make below settings also.

- If you are using Production Version then set From to To lot size as 1 To 1 only, so that there will be no chance for any mistaken during Manual Order creation.

- You can do the same setting for BOM and Routing also.

When I used Strategy 10 and created Plann Indep requirement and after MRP it created 10 planned orders.

When I used strategy 20 and created sales order with quantity 20 and after MRP run it created only one planned order of quantity 20.

I have maintained Lot size FX and Maxi lot size 1in Material master

Hi Mayur,

Strategy 20(MTO) is independent of Lot size restriction.It will check the sales order qty of each line item and generates planning proposal equal to that sales order line item qty (MD50)

For MTO What settings i need to make either in requirement class or anywhere else if i want to have separate planned order for each number if quantity is more than 1

I will create Z-startegy if require

Use the lot size as FX in material master in MRP 1 view with max lot size as 1 and check.
