Hi,
I want know how to fix this issue? I read the KBA https://me.sap.com/notes/3288608/E. But I did not get the mean, Is that mean I need to change "Lowest closed fiscal year in CC" to "2023" manually? and change the status to "productive" manually in app "Make Company Code Settings" ?
Is it not automatic changed after finance finished annual closing and opening?
Request clarification before answering.
Dear Dylan2,
In Asset Accounting, only two fiscal years are allowed to be open at the same time. To be able to open the new fiscal year (YYYY+1), you must first close the fiscal year YYYY-1 in Asset Accounting so that you can then close it in General Ledger Accounting. In the app Make Company Code Settings - Asset Accounting-Specific, you can close the fiscal year in Asset Accounting and define the current fiscal year by specifying the highest fiscal year.
The balance carryforward is carried out automatically on a regular basis in the last period of the year. If desired, you can perform the balance carryforward immediately, using the Balance Carryforward job template from the Schedule General Ledger Jobs app.
You cannot close fiscal year YYYY-1 for a ledger or a depreciation area in an Asset Accounting company code until you have fulfilled the necessary requirements. This includes the following steps:
You have successfully calculated depreciation for all fixed assets for the entire fiscal year YYYY-1.
Use the app Schedule Asset Accounting Jobs with the job template Recalculate Depreciation.
You have successfully posted depreciation for all fixed assets for the entire fiscal year YYYY-1.
You can use the app Schedule Asset Accounting Jobs with the job template Depreciation Posting Run.
