Finished good dis-assemble when rejected

Hello Gurus,

Good Day! I would like to seek some help with regards to a scenario wherein after a Finished Good is produced and found out in QI that it is rejected, this FG will be disassembled.

For example the BOM below:

Finished Good: FG1

Semifinished Good : SFG1, SFG2

Raw Material: RM1, RM2

In the scenario, the Finished Good will be rejected and will go to blocked stock.

From the Blocked Stock, it will be dissassembled into its seperate component.

The Semifinished Good (SFG1, SFG2) of this material will go to other storage location were it will be processed and will undergo crushing so it can be used again.

The Raw material (RM1 and RM2) will go to QI to be inspected if this material can be used again.

Question is how we will be able to do this transaction in the system. We are not using Repetitive Manufacturing so we cannot use the backflush functionality.

I tried to use movement type 310 Transfer posting Material to Material Reversal, but it needs 1 unit of material per Component which makes it incorrect.

Please let me know any ideas you can share.

Thank you,

Raymond

Hi Raymond

When QM reject that material and u want to Salvage or sagrigate that in component for this u have to first moved that blocked stock into unrestricted stock by movement type 344 after taht create an new order with CO07 that is without material and issue that material for that order then the component which u found ok is again receipt by movement type 531 and the material which is rejected is scrap against a scrap code if u want to sold that further

hope this will help u

Hello Sachin,

Thank you for sharing your idea. It was highly appreciated.

I tried to use CO07, but it does not allow me to create and prompting the use of a routing. Is there any other ways you can suggest.

Thank you so much,

Raymond

which order type ur using for this use check T code OPL8 and see routing selection its better if u use order type for rework order where u use reffrence operation set if ur using that and routing selection is Always reference operation set (no routings selected) thats y its not allowing u for routing

Hello Sachin,

Yes we are using reference operation set. Furthermore, we have no order type for rework order.

Thank you for the idea though.
