Finding the Correct CDS View for Manage Fixed Asset App

Hello SAP Community,

Background: Our client needs to perform a value comparison of an asset at the Ledger level within the same interface. They also require a field to display the differences in values between the ledgers.

I’m currently working on a project involving the Manage Fixed Asset app, and I need some assistance. Specifically, I’m trying to identify the correct Core Data Services (CDS) view that is used for loading the data displayed in the Asset Valuation screen.

I have a screenshot of the Asset Valuation screen, and I’d like to understand which CDS view is responsible for populating the various fields visible here:

If anyone has insights or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Here are a few details for context:

  • App/Screen in Question: Manage Fixed Asset App, Asset Valuation Screen
  • Specific Data Fields: All fields related to Value comparison tab

Thank you in advance for your help!

Amar Modanwal.

Hi Amar Modanwal,

If you just want to check the generic available views in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud, please check following link for CDS Views for Asset Management, https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/c0c54048d35849128be8e872df5bea6d/bea52cb1d9784702a17ecc9f...

You can also use App - View Browser and Query Browser to get to the details of the available CDS views.

Please note that the released CDS views only can be consumed for creating custom views out of it. You may also check the available fields, descriptions, field types and length etc. and the associations with other views.

Hi Lucy, thank you so much for the reply but I am asking for the CDS view which are suitable and applicable for Asset Accounting and not Asset Management.
