Hello,

BI is useful for multi dimensional reporting.

Ask them to activate the following business content:

GLPCA - Profit Center BS - 0EC_PCA_1

Classic GL BS - 3FI_SL_09_TT

New GL BS - 0FI_GL_10, 0FI_GL_20 and 0FI_GL_21.

The data needs to be extracted by R/3 to BI

Give your functional requirements to them, they will design the queries for you.

Ravi

Hello,

If the PCA is there then there is no need to activate the relevant business content in BI.

Business content is a pre-configured content by SAP, which can be activated and used for your purpose.

I have given you the remaining datasources, which can be activated. The can also activate underlying Infocubes, ODS objects and relevant infoobjects etc.

1. You should know what is your requirement.

2. You should know the level of granularity. The more granulity (level of detail) will impact your performance.

3. More aggregated level information may be good for performance, but there is no information.

4. You have to take a cut off point between granularity and performance.

Please let me know if you need specific answers.

Hello,

All these things are possible.

For better performance, BI consultants will use Variables, so that the user can input whatever date they want to execute, so the system looks within that range only.

Ravi
