Fill Unloand Point and Goods Recipient automatically

I'm create a new work order and add components, there are two fields that are mandatory

Unloading Point

Goods Recipient

The users have to fill those fields for all components. We would like to set a default value for them. Is it possible?

You can do it default at user level by setting default value in order create/change (iw31/iw32)- extrasettingsdefault values--.external processing tab & external procurement tab

Your solution works fine if I use item category N. (External procurement)

However if I use item category L, this does not work

Do you know if there are user parameters for this?

Hi,

Do you need these fields to be mandatory for components with item category L ?

If not, you can adjust the customizing via transaction OICMPD. Use the influencing option so that only Item Category with value N makes the fields mandatory.

As you have now found out this can be defaulted for external

However for stock material there is no defaults can be set you would have to automatically populate these fields using a user exit or change the configuration so the fields are not mandatory. I have never come across a way to default this information without a user exit.

Check the possiblity of giving these as default parmeteres in SU01D for every user ..
