Dear gurus,

please could anyone tell me how to use features , do we have to configure them ? or how to work with it. i know the definition and all, but how do to use them in practice.

Hi !

Fetures are determine to default the values and can be executed by the T-code : PE03. this is to provide path to the system .

NUMKR: To define the number range interval

PINCH: For administators etc....

In featuer we want to default some value and put in feature as reture value and use desion node to create path

hi,

the feature can be use to default a value for example ABKRS, (t.code pe03) this a feature work for default the value of payroll area table t549a ,

example : your company have two plants (A,B)

for plant A the payroll can be monthly where as plant B payrol is bi-monthy

so we need to create two payroll area one for plant A one for plant B

in order to default the value for both the payroll area we are using feature called ABKRS TO RUN THE PAYROL MONTHLY AS WILL AS BI- MONTHLY ,

Hi Jeeva,

T/c-PE03

Through Feature you can default a value .there are many feature as Tarif,AbKRS, NUMkr etc.

In PE03 there is a creation node lets take ABKRS as an eg.This feature is for PA and PSA and Default value for payroll area.

In PE03 click change now you can see otherwise that is for country specific go to your country you find ES in Application tool bar you can find create node .

this is an small expample of feature NUMKR

e.x.

You are hiring for an MNC and your client requirments is that, the personnel number (ID) should vary from country to country

Hiring from India shall have a range from 10000 to 19999

Hiring from USA shall have a range from 20000 to 29999

Hiring from UK shall have a range from 30000 to 39999

you can assign the number range as per the employee group, personnel area too.

PE03 is the tcode for Feature creation...

Example NUMKR is one of the future tree..

Use Tcode PE03... u can give any features for example ABKRS, TARIFF,ENTRY,CONTR etc.. select the documentation and read it. features are used for giving default values and for validations based on certain parameters like personnel are, sub area, emp grp , sub grp etc.

t.CODE is PE03
