Dear Experts,
We are now on EHP6, ECC 6.0 and Portal v7.3. We have implemented PD (Qualification Catalog, Performance Appraisal System) and yet to implement career & succession planning. Please help me with the configuration setting to be made for Career and Succession Planning.
1) Please help me with the basic or standards settings and services which are available in ESS/MSS for the above related. I only identified Skill Profile and Profile matchup still anything more let me know. Also, please help how authorizations can be given in ESS/MSS to restrict the employee to view only his own org unit and Managers should have access to see his and other different departments employees.
2) We have a requirement for the Org. Structure Chart Color Code. To have different colors for different Org. Units, Identifying contract, Full time employees, part-time employees with colors will standard SAP support with color code in portal. If not, please suggest the best solution for fulfilling this requirement.

For Career and Succession Planning your should activate business functions for SAP HCM Talent Management and implement SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa (STVN). There are various business functions that need to be enabled and Portal content to activate to get the new ESS, MSS and Talent Management Specialist roles.
All of your requirements in 2) can be met in STVN.
There are too many steps to list here so I recommend that you engage with a SAP HCM Talent Management consultant.

Thank you for the information provided. We are in process of implementing STVN. Since am only the one consultant working for the project so i need the expert's help to guide me on how to start and what all the business function required to be activated for Talent management. I would appreciate if any you can provide me with any documentation.

It covers information on what needs to be configured. However, the final configuration will depend on the business processes that are defined.
There are no other configuration guides for SAP HCM Talent Management or STVN so you may need to engage with an expert if you get stuck.

These are the applications available. They have different functions for each role, although all 3 roles can maintain the Talent Profile of an employee. MSS and TMS roles can also view an "extended" Talent Profile that includes all the information from the maintainable Talent Profile but also with additional data.
ESS: Talent Profile
MSS: Talent Profile (same as ESS Talent), Talent Assessment, Development Plan, and Talent Profile for Managers and Talent Management Specialists
TMS: Talent Profile (same as ESS Talent), Development Plan and Talent Profile for Managers and Talent Management Specialists
