The user is from HR and has questions
The user has a question regarding ESS account,
When a hiring is made in SAP HR a email is sent to you and you creates a ess account? (is this correct?)
When a re-hiring of a person is made in SAP HR the same email is sent to you and a ess account is created by you?
Please confirm that I have the correct info, if not please update me

Dear Priya,
I think basis guy will do that, not HR, but I'm not sure with your company policy.
Hiring (HR) -> send request to basis to create SAP account & portal account (Basis) -> assign SAP account to PF number (HR)
Re-hiring (HR) -> send request to basis to check the old account (SAP & portal account), expand it if it was delimited (basis)

Hi Priya
It may really depend on your setup
For instance in some cases with my little knowledge of the ESS user creation incolving Email ID's if user do not have the email ID the user would not be picked up in the back ground job for the creation of the user and then subsequent mappings which happens.
When user is terminated employees IT 105 is delimited and user will no longer be able to access ESS
In your case as employee is back to your company i suppose IT 105 is maintained again which triggers the subsequent mapppings needed for the ESS
This is just my little overview of how ESS thing works . Hope somoene corrects me or has a better way of explaining this
Regards
Ajay
