Hi Friends,

In our client side ESI is getting deducted even when gross salary of employee is 10300. In the IMG I have maintained ESI eligibility limit 10000.

In Basic Pay Infotype 0008 if Basic Pay amount total is less than 10,000 then only ESI will get deducted, else it wont get deducted, check if during 01st Period whether it got deducted...

Hi,

please check in Rt what is the amount in /112, /113

ESI will be dustced depend upon this wage type.

If an employee cover even for onemonth also in contribution period still we will deduct ESI contribution for that period completely. in this case if one month ESI basis is 10000 or less then it will deduct ESI even ESI basis is more than 10000 in that period.

Hi,

Ya Balapani I have checked RT for all those months. It is more than 10000. Actually scenario is that earlier ESI deduction is happening for this employee. But there is a increment effective from April and his salary is increased. And now his gross is 10300 and I even checked WT /112 & /113 it is more than 10000. So in the present scenario it should not deduct ESI.

But it is deducting. What may be the possible causes for this.

ESI contribution period is from April to September

and October to March.

If ESI basis is less than 10k with in this period irrespective of ESI basis > 100000 ESI will be deducted complete contribution period.

here you are saying in April ESI basis is > 10k , I thoughis salry is increase after april retroeffectively. please check for period 01/09 =in period01/09 april actual result. if this is the case then this is correct and it will deduct upto september.

you can try to run october 09 sumulation payroll and check log it will not deduct.
