Error 'Unknown WBS' when entering timesheet in Manage My Timesheet Application

I am entering timesheets using 'Manage My Timesheet' application for a work package to which I am staffed to.

However, when I enter time and save, error message prompts 'Unknown WBS element.

Note - Personnel Number is active. Employee's employment duration and Work Pacakge dates are aligned.

When I used 'Notify missing timesheet application' I am able to post timesheet successfully without any errors.

Please assist

Hello Nitin. Please confirm if you are entering time as employee or contingent worker and your employment status is active.

Manage My Timesheet app ('F1823')/S30) perform activity-based time recording to enable billing and invoicing of projects assigned to you.

Please check the below billing control category documentation ( and update to perform the time postings.

Billing Control Category – This field specifies whether the time sheet entry is billable or non-billable (Use NON_BILL to post the time sheet as non-billable). While using ‘Manage My Timesheet’ app, resource type planned on the work package is passed as Activity Type. Typically, Activity Types are designed based on employee roles which form the basis of bill rates.

In case of Contingent workers, the billing Category depends upon the account assignment category of the linked purchase order. When you create the Purchase Order with work package (WBS) assigned. If the account assignment category was set as P(Project) or U(Unknown), by default Billing Control Category is Billable.

You can use the account assignment type K(cost center) in the purchase order, it is considered from the activity type assigned to the work package task in customer projects.

In case you still face the issue, Please raise the ticket under Component (CA-TS-S4) and will support further.
