What fields of BP are you updating? Post some sample data so that others could troubleshoot.

Thanks,

Have you checked if you can update them manually? If yes, then how many templates are you using?

Thanks,

Gordon

Im using one template for bp master with almost 2000 rows.

If you only use one template, leave the address alone. Address is by other template file. Try to update less fields first.

Hi Gordon

I followed your suggestions, first, i tried to upload Record Key, Card Code, Card Name and Address in one template. Second, I upload the address in separate template so i used two templates but still it didnt work out. Thanks.

You have to take out address from the main file.

Gordon I did it already. I putted it in other template.

When only update with few fields by main file, what error you got?

Just try one record with minimum mandatory data to check. Are you sure you are DTW to the right database?

Yes Gordon, I used DTW to initially upload our bp master but when i update it that is the time i encounter this error. I already delete some columns actually i only left Record Key, Card Code and Card Name to filter where is the error but still the error occurred.

Since you just want to update, you only need Record Key and card code for the initial try.

Well Gordon, I did it already and still error.

If you DTW the right databse with the right Card Code plus Record Key of 1, there is no way to fail. You should only keep the fields in you final file and check the text file in the text editor like Notebook.

Hi

Some of the helpful tips :

1- Create the data import file as usual in Excel

2- Save the file as .txt (tab delimited)

3- Select all columns and rows from the Excel file (including the headings)

4- Copy the data into the clipboard

5- Open a new text file in Notepad

6- Paste the data and save the file

7- Import this file with DTW

Also check this notes :

Hope this helps

Hi Bishal.

Thanks for the tip. I already did that procedure. I think the connection with sql server is the problem. And i cant still solve it right now.
