Error in SO creation - Maintain plant XX for the sales areas, Message V1762

Hi,

This is a brand new sandbox environment and we are setting up the whole system. Created the org structure, created the stock and while creating a sales order, ran into the following error message: Maintain plant XX for the sales areas, Message no. V1762.

Sales area has been defined, Plant has been assigned to the right company code, plant has been assigned to the compbination of Sales org and division. Plant and shipping point maintained.

I am not sure what else needs to be done and why I am not able to create a sales order. Any ideas please?

Hi

I faced the same issue

Please go to OVV9 and check your assignment to plant is complete.

plant = sales org + DC + Div

If a single unit is missing, you will get this error.

Plz refer this attached screen

Hi Raj,

Check Whether you have maintained Delivering Plant XX in Material Mater and also Customer Master.

Check Whehter you have maintained Division In Material Master.

Try Checkig the sales Area of the Customer and Material are same or not.

Did you by chance maintain warehouse?

If yes, check your settings for assignment of warehouse to plant & storage location.

1st of all check in VOR1 and VOR2

So check , if you have done any intercompany billing or not.

so in img - sales and distribution - billing- intercompany billing - assign sales orgn to plant

check wheather any wrong sales area has been assigned or not

Please cross check the Enterprise structure assignment.

SPRO --> Enterprise structure --> assignment --> Sales and Distribution --> Assgine plant to sales org and distribution channel.

Check whether this entry is maintained or not.

Hi friends

Refering to your commentaries my customizing for plant and distribution channel is okay, also the used material masters.

But the problem still exists.

I want to work with configurable bill of material in orders. Any ideas plesae?

define common distribution channes and divisions. Also make sure the document type is assigned to the sales area.

Hi Friend,

Go to assignment of organiational elment. There in sales and distribution you have one assignment where you have to assign a plant for sales are.

In the particulat material , in the sales or view - there will be a filed called delivering plant , you have to fill that in order to avoid this error
