Error in Costing run

Former Member

Hi Folks,

I am trying to perform a costing run (CK11n), however I am getting an error message viz. 'No cost field for fixed costs has been defined'

I have maintained the Planned Price 1 in the MM in the Costing 2 tab.

Is there anything else in the master that needs to be changed/updated ?

Your comments are appreciated.

Rgds,

NK

Hi,

Yes, you need to do some customising, as there is a fixed cost being calculated and the system does not know where to put it. Here is what you do:

1. Go into Customizing for Product Cost Controlling and do the

following:

- Check the definition of cost component 001 in cost component structure you have defined. To take the fixed costs into account, set the Fixed and variable costs indicator for the cost component.

- Check which cost elements are assigned to this cost component.

2. Call up the cost element itemization for the material costed and for its BOM components, and check those cost elements that contain fixed costs.

See if they exist in the cost component; if not maintain them.

Cheers...
