Hi Experts,
I got an error when installing SAP B1H client 9.3 or 9.2 in win 7 either 32bit and 64bit. The error message is as follows:
When installing/upgrading SAP Business One client from the shared folder directly, if encountering error message "Error 1402. Could not open key UNKNOWN\Components\XXXX\XXXX. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel", please refer to SAP Note 1719406.
I have checked the sap note but still not resolved. My account to login the win 7 has been administrators member. I even have used the administrator user but still not resolved. The note seems useless and not relevant anymore.
Please help me to solve this issue by using other solution beside sap note 1719406.
Rgds,
Steve

Finallyyyyyy... Thanks for Jesper that has given the starting solution, .i.e. .
It took almost 8 hours to solve this issue.
The solution steps to solve this issue are:
1. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/error-1402-could-not-open-the-key/4d28e140-bc9...
--> using the
Vaseem Ahmed's solution. I downloaded and run both applications provided by Vaseem
it took 6 hours to run one of the solution provided by Vaseem untuk finished.
2. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows --> choose step for windows 7
4. Created user account 'Guest' and I assigned administrator right to this user
5. https://support.faxmakeronline.gfi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015166479 for user 'Guest'
I installed the DI API by using the user 'Guest'. Now.. the DI API has been successfully installed.
Prior to the 5 steps, I did this step:
1. Trying to cleanly remove old installations by using C cleaner
2. Delete all registry keys of SAP Business One DI API in the regedit
I almost reinstall the windows but I am sure that there is always a way to solve all the problems..
SAP Run Simpler...

Hello Steve,
This is a microsoft error that is usually related to the registry. I suggest you google Error 1402, there will be many threads that could be helpful.
This one might offer a tip:
Trying to cleanly remove old installations might be a good start.
I hope it helps,
Jesper

Dear Jesper,
Thank you for your solution but the problem still persists. I have applied the solution from the link by running the application that downloaded from this link:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Here is the result:
I have also cleanly removed old DI API installation but not help.
