Enable F4 help for custom business object field

Hi Experts,

I have a custom business object and I want to make an association to one of the std.field to enable value help in S/4 HANA cloud system. I followed the below blog and the article from SAP for doing it.

sadly, the value help is not returning any value since the primary data source is not having any data in it as explained in the following, https://answers.sap.com/questions/13610667/adding-standard-cds-view-as-value-help-for-custom.html. This question was marked answered by system automatically but does not help to solve the purpose.

Seems there is no way to achieve this using the above method. Hence I followed the developer extensibility to create custom business object (as Ztable) and enabled the F4 value help using the metadata extension.

In case if anyone has any recommendations feel free to add it here. so keep the question not closed for now

I'm facing a similar issue when trying to use standard CDS as value help in CBO, can you let me know how you solved this using developer extensibility.
