Hello there
Is it possible/supported to have an employee in S/4HANA Cloud that is employed 50% by one company code and 50% by another?
We've tested importing an employee with two employment data lines against two company codes but this gives an error stating that the employment validity dates cannot overlap.
We've got a scenario where an employee would be employed by multiple company codes, so trying to work out what it possible.
Cheers
Gavin
Hello gavinrugg .
Concurrent Employment can be possible in system. for employee, there should be two WorkAgreementInformation records and both with different company code. then you would not get any issue with overlapping dates.
Please check below link for details:

Hi sunil.yadavnagarro
Thanks for coming back. I was a bit confused as this has been allowed in other SAP systems in the past!
I tried loading one of these through the 'Import Employees' app with an EmploymentDataTemplate looking like this:
*PersonExternalID CW-SPLIT CW-SPLIT
*StartDate(YYYYMMDD) 20201001 20201001
*EndDate(YYYYMMDD) 99991231 99991231
*WorkAgreementStatus(0[Inactive],1[Active]) 1 1
*CompanyCode 1110 6210
CostCenter 11101902 62101902
WorkingTimePercentage 50 50
WeeklyWorkingHours(hh) 20 20
WeeklyWorkDays 2.5 2.5
ServiceCostLevel
ManagerPersonExternalId
[Apologies, I can't seem to get any decent formatting in this reply but hopefully you get the idea!]
The only difference that I can see between this and the xml in the example link I sent is that the 'PersonExternalID' is the same in my upload file, whereas in the xml it's different. Obviously though, the way the files are denormalised means I have to do it this way or the rows won't be recognised as being part of the same employee record.
This unfortunately gave the overlapping dates error so I wasn't able to upload. Do you know if it's possible to upload like this?
Cheers
Gavin
