If DIAPI is installed on Centralised is it necessary to install DI API on each workstation.

In my company for example total 5 members would like to work on DTW. To Install DTW we need DIAPI to be installed. So is it necessary to install DI API to each user on his PC.
A end user's PC is referred to as Workstation. You do not need to install DI API on all workstations. Workstation only need SBO Client
