DocObjectCode field in 2005

Hey Guys,

In the 2004 DTW to import documents there was one template that was shared between all document types. It contained a field called DocObjectCode that took in one of these values:

13 - Sales Invoices

14 - Sales CreditNotes

15 - Sales DeliveryNotes

16 - Sales Returns

17 - Sales Orders

18 - Purchase Invoices

19 - Purchase CreditNotes

20 - Purchase DeliveryNotes

21 - Purchase Returns

22 - Purchase Orders

23 - Sales Quotations

Now in 2005 DTW I noticed this field no longer exists in the templates and each document type has its own template. How will Business One know what type of document you are importing?

The DTW 2005 is different as you have noted from previous versions. The DTW follows the objects and the properties associated with those objects as they exposed via the DI API. With respect to your question, you would look at the DocType for each document in the DI API Help file or you can also look at the database schema for the file and it will give you the information that you need for the DocType. In the case of Sales Orders, the DocType is either a "1" for and Item or a "2" for a Service. Again, you can find this information in the 2005 SDK Help Center which contains that DI API Help as well as the database schema.

Thanks Eddy for the response. I know I can look up this information in the help file for reference. The problem I am having is this docobjecttype field does not exist in the examples or templates from the 2005 DTW. So my question is I guess is how to those examples tell the Business One system they are an invoice or order etc..?

Can I open a service ticket or something with SAP to get help files specifcally designed for the templates? we have a lot of customers trying to understand data importing and this new help file cannot help them. In my opinion this is going to be a serious drawback to the data import process.

Anyone else agree?
