disposal of asset

hi guru

i would like to dispose large number of fixed assets for this year end i would like to know if there is a transaction which will allow a mass disposal of fixed assets.?

Asset retirement scrapping go to ABAVN and then select multiple assets button on application bar

Hi

Yes U Can post the multiple asset retirement through F-92 but you have to post separate credit line item for each asset (Asset Clearing Account).

Expample

Customer - Dr

Asset clearing (Asset X) Cr

Asset Clearing (Asset X2) Cr

Asset Clearing (Asset X3) Cr.

System will calculate the corresponding entries of accumulated depreciation and gain/loss separately for each asset.

thanks to all.

transaction ABAVN is suitable for us but in that transaction we may select only 10 to 15 assets but for us we need to select atleast 100 to 250 assets

is is possible?

Hi

Hope this will work for your scenario

Retirement of asset in bulk

1] Go to AR01 and select the asset or range of assets and execute the same

2] Go to Work list -> create -> Enter in the mandatory field (& select the Retirement without revenue) and enter

3] Enter the date / time and transaction type at this point of time and enter, now a queue will be created for the same

4] Now go to AR31 and execute the queue

5] Now click the release tab, the asset / assets will be retired

6] Now go and check the asset, the same will be completely retired

u can add rows as many as u wish

after entering some assets it will increase rows automatically

what is the difference between trasaction code ABAVN and the stpes you have provided to me

is there any special impact?
