Discontinued part and follow up material

Dear Guru,

How to use discontinued and follow up material with effective date. I am using MTS Scenario.

Hi,

In MRP-4 view, you need to select the Discontinuation indicator, effective out date and the follow up material.

Discontinuation indicator: 1, simple discontinuation, 2. Parallel discontinuation. this we need to define there. Simple means immediately it will set the discontinuation indicator. Parallel means, once the current stock consumes then this will come in to effect.

Effective date means we need to define the date from when this will be discontinued.

Follow up material means we need to define the follow up material in this field.

In material master for the material which is being discontinued, in MRP-4 view you need to maintain discontinuation indicator, effective-out date & Follow-up material.
