Disable "Negative postings permitted" for a Company Code

Hi Community,

Currently the "Negative postings permitted" is enabled for Company Code and it's allowing us to process debit amount with negative sign. However, we wanted to understand the impact on existing entries and new entries posted in the company code after disabling "Negative postings permitted" check.

Hi Abha Hardikar,

Here is an answer I got from the expert:

When changing the configuration for negative posting logic, this has no impact on existing postings. It only affects future postings, this means future reversals will post with the normal logic for debit credit and not with negative amounts and original debit/credit assignment.
