Different characteristics for different usage

Hi All,

If we have material "XYZ", then while doing GR against PO system should propose characteristics like "A","B',"C" in RR.

and when getting from customer return system should propose characteristics like "E","F" etc in RR.

So for every different use system should give different characteristics while doing result recording.

Can anyone guide us to achieve this in SAP.

Hi,

Simply create different inspection plan for different scenario like 1st plan for GR against PO & 2 nd for cust. rejected materials.

e.g. Inspection Plan 1 with usage 5

Assign MIC A,B,C

& Inspection Plan 2 with usage 9

Assign MIC D,E etc.

Hi JD, It does all depend on usage in inspection plan. You should have different inspection plans for goods receipt against PO and for customer returns. Generally it is taken 5 and 9 respectively. However you can customize a new usage and can assign the same to inspection type in QCC0.

I hope, usage will be different for Goods Receipt against PO & Customer Return. So you can create 2 different Inspection Plan with respective characteristics.

in that case you can create different operations in inspection plan with different set of MIc in each operation . while doing RR system will ask you about against which operation u want to do RR . So select according to need .

Also check for usage in the header level. With this for same material task list that will be assigned to lot will differ . I am not in front of sytem so cannt tell u exactly .
