Difference in ce_conversion and currency-conversion

Hi All,

What is the difference in the usage of currency_conversion and CE_conversion ?

I have gone through the demo in CL_DEMO_SQLSCRIPT_CURR_CONV and DEMO_CDS_CURRENCY_CONVERSION and understand CE_CONVERSION is used in AMDPs and CURRENCY_CONVERSION Is used while defining CDS view.

My question is for understanding which one is to be used in which scenario and which one has better performance
