Master recipes are mainly used for planning the manufacture of products. Master recipes are used as a reference for process orders as well as the basis for product costing. The master recipe is used for the production of materials or for rendering of services.

Master Recipe has the sequence of operations to be performed during production of a particular product. It has the equipment or the machinery to be used during each operation and the process parameters to be maintained.

It has also the Standard value key and the Overhead parameters that you want to account during the operation. It has the standard time for production.

Control recipes are generated from the process instructions in a process order and sent to the corresponding process control system. One control recipe is generated for each control recipe destination defined in the process order.

Using control recipes, you transfer control data from the process order to process control. The information contained in a control recipe and the destination to which it is sent are user-defined.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Madan

Master receipe is a master data which is similar to routing in discrete. but will contain phases ,operations and also this will contain process instructions ie how the process has to be done like for heat treatment temp to be maintained etc.,

Using control recipes, you transfer control data from the process order to process control. The information contained in a control recipe and the destination to which it is sent are user-defined.
