DIEN or Service masters?

Hi!

We already use the material DIEN (ZDIEN for purchasing) to process services.
We are now planning to start using PM orders.
What are the risks if we continue to use DIEN instead of the service masters?
What is the best practice?

It depends what type of services you are purchasing. Are you going to use a service entry sheet to record time from external service providers?

Hi,

The DIEN material type in the SD module, In Plant Maintenance if you're using DIEN material type the process will be similar to PM02, where there is no service entry sheet, and the goods receipt (GR) is processed directly.
