Hi Pavan,

The functionality has given by SAP to simplify the rem manufacturing to carry out the production with planned orders. If you have correct master data then MRP creates RS type of planned orders which are convertable to production orders and sufficient to carry out the production at shop floor. This will reduce the shop floor activities and ciontrolling with production orders.

There are lot difference between rem and discreate but the main diffrences are discreate is based order based manufacturing with production orders,,rem is period based manufacturing with planned ordrs. In discreate products changed frequently from order to order bur in rem the products will remain same for long period of time.

if any question please revert with rewarding suitable points.

Hi Pavan,

Repetitive manufacturing is the process where the production is based on the production rate, hence the expected production per day or a period is planned and generated a planned order.

As REM is used for the industry type where bulk or huge quantities are manufactured, where the products are continuous and r not changed frequently, the production can be planned as per the demand and the availability.

which as per the std SAP the production is done with reference to planned orders.
