Hi All,

I have a situation here, I run depreciation run - and hit error because asset A - cost center ZZZ.

Cost center ZZZ is locked for actual posting.

I change the asset master data - correct the cost center.

System request me to restart depreciation run process. After I check , the result, system still error - because it still get cost center ZZZ even though I've changed the master data.

Please advise me on what should I do.

Thanks,

Melissa

Dear Melissa,

Please go to KS02 and give your cost center, go to control data in LOCK segment remove tick for Actual Primary cost and plan primary cost . And save.

Run agian, I hope this help you to solve your issue. If you have any doubts feel free to share.

I don't want any amount posted into that cost center. So I cannot un-lock that cost center. If I un-lock it, the amout will be posted there.

Dear Mellisa,

Does your changed COST CENTER have same fields ticked ?

The new cost center is allowed to post actual cost. Shouldn't be a problem. But system seems to "lock" the old cost center.

Hi,

I guess in your case system is still picking up old cost center i/o new one..

Cost center is Time Dependent field, hence check the 'From Date' appearing in More Intervals in asset master record.

If you want to post dep. to new cost center in period 8 then 'From Date' for new cost center should fall in period 8.

Hi Sayujya,

Yes I've maintained the new cost center in the period which I want to run depreciation with new cost center, and system still locked the old one.

Anyway, Thanks all for the replies, I decided to still run the depreciation run with old cost center by opening the lock indicator. Afterthat, I reclass the amount to the correct cost center using KB11N. and lock back the wrong cost center.

Melissa
