Hi gurus

How to do settings to claim entire depreceiation in the same month.

E.g: capitalised in june how to claim entire 100% depreciation in the same june month.

Hi,

There are two options available to you here.

1. Either create a depreciation key e.g. "<b>MANU</b> - Manual Depreciation only" (if not already existing within your system) using transaction code <b>AFAMA</b> and use this during month end processing to depreciate the Asset 100% in the month of capitalisation or

2. Create a Low Value Asset (LVA) depreciation key with 100% complete write-off using transaction <b>AFAMA</b>. The settings would be as follows:

<b>Chart of Depn:</b> (Select your coy chart of depreciation)

<b>Depn Key :</b> e.g. GWG - LVA 100% Complete Write off

<b>DepType:</b> N Ord. Depreciation

<b>Phase:</b> 1 From the start of Depreciation

<b>Base Method:</b> 0017 Ordinary: immediate deprec. (after end of life)

<b>Decl.-bal.</b> method: 001

<b>Prd cont</b>: 003

<b>Multilev.meth.:</b> 003

<b>Class:</b> 1 Straight line Depreciation

<b>Chnge.</b> method: Blank

<b>Changeover%rate:</b> Blank

<b>Multiple shift:</b> 1 Increase deprec. no increase in exp. useful life

<b>Scrap value:</b> 0 Consideration is controlled by cutoff value key

<b>Shutdown:</b> No

Then, assign this depreciation key to the asset to be depreciated 100% in a month.

<b>Note:</b> Remember, your asset life would be from say, June 1 to June 30 for this to depreciate 100% for month of June.
