Hi

You have to assign new depciation key in asset master. 2010 and 2011 fiscal years are closed. For current year 2012 the dep value will be adjusted in next period as per new dep key. For past years you have to revaluate the asset value or have to post the difference in unplanned depreciation in current year.

Hi Srinivas,

Thanks

As per your suggestion we have to create new dep key updating new dep rate and than assign the all asset master data if we have 1000 of asset we have to assign the entire asset?

After the assign new dep key, new dep rate affected from 2010 OR we have assign ord. dep. started date for 2010 fiscal year or it is effect from 2012.

When we recalculated the dep. for 2010 after changes it is not affected from 2010.

Please help to understand the process.

Hi,

After you change the depreciation key and do recalculate of values usinf AS02, then the system will recalculate the values only for that Fiscal Years which are opened,

In Asset 2 fiscal yeasr can be simultaneously be kept open. So now if 2010 and 2011 are closed then system will recalculate the values only for fiscal year 2012.

For the earlier 2 years you have to post an unplanned depreciation in the current fiscal year using T-Code ABAA for the amount of difference in depreciation.
