Hello all,
Looks like a strange thing for me but shouldn't be for you experts out there.
A planned order, indeed a 'Run Schedule Quantity' was created. When going through the components list could see the components well available.
A Reservation number was also generated against the given planned order, could see the same from table 'RESB'. But upon reviewing the list of components in their respective MD04 list couldn't find any dependent requirement's generated there.
One such example (the material marked in the previous screen shot) is as follows: It's just the same for all the components.
One of my colleague went saying that: These planned orders were created with Rough Cut Planning. So, the MRP needs to be re-run for these materials with Planning Mode 3. So Is there any logic in this ?
Note: These components are not set with Bulk material indicator either in the material or in the Item at the BOM level.
Please do help me out.
Regards,
Rahul

Hi Rahul
Do you have any storage location MRP area for the component? If this is the case, maybe the components are under the MRP area, not at plant level.
Also check the value set for the field "dependent requirements" on tab MRP4 of the material master.
Maybe you have any active implementation of BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA. With this BAdI it's possible to hide an MRP element from MD04, so maybe this is the case.
Otherwise, you can take a look in debug setting a break-point on function module aufbauen_mdpsx_anzeigen, where the MRP elements are read.
The following document explains how they are read in more detail:

Hi Caetano,
Thanks for your comments. Perfect again
Well there are MRP area's available for the component which was marked in the previous screens. I din't check for the other's though.
I was able to see the dependent requirement's targeted to a another MRP area under the same plant. But why would this happen ?
Is there any specific setting which would bypass the depreq to other MRP area's. If so where are they maintained ?
Thanks again.
Regards,
Rahul
Hello Rahul
This is happening because the components are assigned to the MRP area storage location.
If you don't want to have the components under the MRP area, change it to another storage location (on the BOM or on the material master, or remove the MRP area from the material master.

Hello Rahul
It's not under the MRP that you need to check.
If you check on the MRP area customizing (transaction OMIZ) you will see that this MRP area is linked to a storage location.
You will find a reference to this storage locaton on the material master tab MRP2 on on the BOM component details.
